Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Assist Legal Director and Legal Manager on all legal matters related to Bayan Group and affiliates.
• Review agreements and contract before being signed by Bayan Group and affiliates. 
• Provide legal advice on legal matters and any lawsuits brought by or against the Bayan Group and affiliates.
• Consult and advise Bayan Group and affiliates on any laws and regulations.
• Liaising and interacting with regulators, government, external lawyers, advisors, and notaries
• Conduct due diligence for potential acquisition as well as corporate exercise undertaken by Bayan Group
• Monitor compliance with statutory obligations.
• Attending and assisting with negotiations with customers, vendors, and businesses venture.
 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, licensed to practice law in Indonesia (Peradi)
• Minimum 12 years of experience at a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel. Experience in coal mining, plantation, or power plant industry will be an advantage. 
• Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law, contract and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track advising on compliance, risk management, litigation, and dispute resolutions
• Excellence in communication and negotiation skills.
