Jakarta, 26 May 2009 – PT Bayan Resources Tbk is pleased to announce the decision of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Republic of Indonesia (MEMR) to lift the mining ban on certain areas at one of their subsidiaries, PT Teguh Sinarabadi (TSA) in East Kalimantan. Mr. Bambang Gatot Ariyono, one of the Directors under Directorate General of Mineral, Coal, and Geothermal, gave the approval of the feasibility study submitted by TSA. This allows TSA to resume mining operations and activities in that particular area. TSA received a notice in March from MEMR to temporarily stop activities in one of their mining blocks concession. Pending the submission of the revised feasibility study covering the additional mining areas and its approval from the MEMR, TSA moved operations in another block but within the same concession which has government approval. TSA did not experience any material interruption to their operations and production volume is still within budget.
